I’d like to start a discussion about the logo and branding in general after Sahju & Brad’s comments on Conceptshare:
Sajhu: there is a “problem” here, there is no wp in this logo [...]
Brad.enderson: good point, but that brings up a topic, which is do we have to have the wp in the name? can’t we have it to the left of this logo in a slightly lighter color or maybe even have it imply we are wp in the title?
the problem with this is that people will think we are synergy, which is the mouse/keyboard sharing app.
They might be right. Maybe we should include WP in name otherwise people might be searching for “synergy” or “synergy project” on google and they will never find us unless they type “theme” or “wordpress” in their search which is unlikely.
If we include WP on the left, should we remove “project” and make the branding around the WPSynergy name only? Or should it be “WPSynergy Project”? What are your thoughts on this?
Although, should we include a tag line: “WPSynergy, Freemium WordPress Themes” that way we would mention what this site is about?
